HomeMy Public PortalAbout69-027RESOLUTION NO. 69-27 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY BILL N0. 196. WHEREAS, Assembly Bill No. 196 is introduced to the California Legislature and WHEREAS, Assembly Bill No. 196 permits cigarette tax funds to be used for City and County purposes rather than requiring that such funds be used solely for purposes of general interest to the State. NOW, THEREFORE, THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Assembly Bill No. 196 is an appropriate Bill and in the best interests of the Citizens of the City. SECTION 2: This Council hereby approves assembly Bill No. 196 and instructs the City Clerk to send copies of this Resolution to Assemblymen Cullen, Thomas, Townsend, and Senators Dills and Kennick. SECTION 3; That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions of said City, and shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted. CORTINA, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 69-27, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 17th day of March, 1969, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: Clark, Junk, Smith, Yamamoto and Marbut.
