LOCKPORT STREET 7:00 P .M. A) CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL/PLEDGE B) Approval of the Minutes of the Committee of the Whole Workshop and Executive Session held on September 24, 2007. C) PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS Appointment of Police Commanders Promotion of Police Sergeants D) TRUS TEES COMMENTS E) BUSINESS MEETING 1) FLOOD CONTROL BERM – LAKELAND’S SUBDIVISION In 2001 Christopher Burke Engineering completed a flood mitigation study for the Lakelands Community Homeowners Association. This study outlined three alternatives for the c onstruction of improvements that would help separate the DuPage River from Walloon Lake during severe flood events. A representative from Christopher Burke Engineering will be in attendance to provide a brief overview of the flood mitigation study, the pro posed project, and answer questions related to this issue. 2) ATHLETIC FIELDS ON VILLAGE STAR LINE PROPERTY 3) DEMOLITION OF STRUCT URES AT ROUTE 30 AND RT 59 Per previous Board direction staff has contacted the owner of 15232 S. Joliet Road (the Go Tane Ga s Station) and the adjacent home regarding the unsafe structures. Staff has sent a notice in May to address the unsafe structures and while staff has been in contact with the owner they have not moved forward to address the issue. The Building Official w ill attend to give his report on the buildings. The code allows that the president and board of trustees may direct the Village attorney to make application to the circuit court for an order authorizing the demolition, repair or enclosure of the buildings . The owner has been invited. Staff is looking for Board direction. 4) ELECTRONIC ATTENDANCE AT MEETINGS Seeking direction on whether the Board wishes to consider adoption of an Ordinance allowing electronic participation in Board Meetings in accordance with the Illinois Statutes.
