A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON DECLARING WORK COMPLETED AS TO PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS OF CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF SIDEWALKS AND DRIVEWAY APRONS AND APPURTENANT
WORK, INCLUDING CLEARING AND GRUBBING, AND GRADING
OF PARKWAY AND PARKWAY SLOPES, IN 224TH STREET FROM
ANCHOR AVENUE TO CATSKILL AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF
CARSON, CALIFORNIA (ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 68-1),
ENTERED INTO BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARSON AND WILBUR
A. HARRISON, AND THE ACCEPTANCE THEREOF PURSUANT
TO THE FINAL ESTIMATE SUBMITTED BY THE CITY'S
ENGINEER OF WORK AND ACCEPTED BY SAID CONTRACTOR
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of January, 1969, the City of Carson
had entered into a contract with Wilbur A. Harrison for the "Construction of
Sidewalks and Driveway Aprons, and Appurtenant Work, Including Clearing and
Grubbing, and Grading of Parkway and Parkway slopes, in 224th Street from
Anchor Avenue to Catskill Avenue, in the City of Carson, California (Assess-
ment District No. 68-1)"; and
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has submitted to the City
Council of said City a recommendation that the value of work performed under
and according to the terms of said contract is in the sum of $10,318.50
that Notice of Completion be filed, and payment be made in said sum plus
incidental costs paid by Contractor at time of execution of contract and
agreement, pursuant to the terms and conditions of said contract; and
WHEREAS, said Contractor has submitted to the City's Engineer
of Work his written approval of said recommended final quantities and cost
figures;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carson does
resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the work required to be performed by said
Contractor according to the terms of said original contract has been completed.
SECTION 2. That as indicated above, said work is hereby
accepted and approved.
SECTION 3. It is further ordered that this Resolution of
Acceptance be filed, on behalf of the City, in the Office of the County
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles within ten days of the date of this
Resolution and shall serve as a Notice of Completion pursuant to Government
Code Section 1193.1.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of said City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution
No. 69-47, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City
at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 7th
day of April, 1969, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Clark, Junk, Smith, Yamamoto
and Marbut.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
