C) PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS D) TRUSTEES COMMENTS E) WORKSHOP MEETING 1) ILLINOIS HEALTH FACILITIES PLANNING BOARD MEETING Staff is submitting an update on the next IHFPB meeting and IHFPB Task Fo rce meeting. 2.) SURFACE TRANSPORATION BOARD OPEN HOUSE AND PUBLIC MEETING Staff is submitting information regarding the opportunity to provide public input to STB about Canadian National (CN)’s proposed purchase of the EJ&E Rail Line. 3.) DOWNTOW N OUTDOOR USE REGULATIONS Staff is seeking input and direction regarding what outdoor uses may be permitted within the public right -of -way and what approval process may be required to regulate outdoor uses in the downtown area. With the ongoing improvement s to Lockport Street, there may be opportunities for outdoor dining and other uses on the expanded public sidewalks within the right -of -way. Based on direction from the Village President and Board of Trustees, staff would prepare a formal set of regulation s to be considered subsequently by the Plan Commission and Board of Trustees. 4.) DOWNTOWN MERCHANT DISCUSSION Staff is seeking input and direction regarding our Downtown Business District .
