A RESOLUTI ON OF THE Cl TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATI ON OF TRAFFI C SIGNALS
AT DEL AMO BOULEVARD AND CENTRAL AVENUE, CITY OF CARSON
CASH CONTRACT NO. 3
WHEREAS, the City Administrator of the City of Carson did, pursuant to order
of the City Council, on the 11th day of July, 1969, publicly receive, examine and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and improvement described in Resolution
No. 69-69, which Resolution is hereby expressly referred to for a description of said
work and improvement, and for all particulars relative to the proceedings; and
WHEREAS, due notice inviting bids and setting a date for the opening of bids
has been duly posted as prescribed by law and as provided in Resolution No. 69-69; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson, on the 14th day of July,
1969, did publicly receive, examine and declare said proposals or bids as reported by the
City Administrator;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. Acceptance and Rejection of Bids. That the City Council of
the City of Carson hereby awards the contract for doing said work and making said
improvements to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit:
STEINY and MITCHEL, INC.
at the price named in the bid of said bidder on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City;'and it does reject all other bids or proposals, effective upon execution of the City
contract by said low bidder.
Section 2. Publication of Notice of Award. The City Clerk is hereby
directed to publish Notice of said award in the Press -Journal & Harbor Mail, a newspaper
of general circulation in said City, said Notice to be published twice by two separate
consecutive insertions in said newspaper.
Section 3. Execution of Contract. The Project Engineer is hereby directed
to prepare the contract and forward it to the City Attorney for approval as to form, and the
Mayor is hereby directed to enter into the contract.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 14t day of July, 1969.
