A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON GRANTING CONSENT AND JURISDICTION
TO THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES IN THE MATTER OF
DOLORES LIGHTING DISTRICT, PETITION NO. 202-118
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles
is about to commence proceedings under Division 14 of the Streets and Highways
Code for the annexation of territory to Dolores Lighting District; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation will have street lights
installed in the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, all of the land included in the proposed annexation
lies within the boundary of the City of Carson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carson as follows:
Section 1. That the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the maintenance of a street lighting system located within said terri-
tory as shown on the maps of the annexation to the Dolores Lighting District
and on file in the office of the Road Commissioner.
Section 2. That this City Council hereby consents to the
annexation of said territory, as shown on the attached map and/or described
in the attached legal description, included within the boundaries of said
annexation, and lying within the boundary of the City of Carson.
Section 3. That this City Council hereby finds and determines
that the land included within the boundary of the proposed annexation lying
within the boundary of the City of Carson will be benefited by the said pro-
posed annexation to the lighting district, and hereby consents to the inclu-
sion of said lands within the proposed annexation and to the assessment
thereof.
Section 4. That the consent of this City Council is hereby
given to the commencement of the proceedings for said annexation to the
Dolores Lighting District by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles, and to the exercise of exclusive jurisdiction of said Board of
Supervisors over all proceedings necessary thereto for the purpose of con-
summating the same, all in accordance with the provisions of Division 14
of the Streets and Highways Code.
Section 5. That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby
directed to certify and deliver two copies of this resolution to the Executive
Officer -Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of said City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution
No. 69-93, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at
a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 4th day
of August , 1969, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Yamamoto, Smith, Clark and
Junk.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Marbut.
