A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON ABANDONING CARSON
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 69-2
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson did on July 28,
1969, adopt a Resolution of Intention under the Municipal Improvement Act of 1911
for the construction of sidewalk and driveways under Carson Assessment District No.
69-2; and
WHEREAS, bids have been received and publicly examined for
sidewalk improvements; and
WHEREAS, the bids on proposed Assessment District No. 69-2
exceeded the Engineer's estimate by more than ten percent (10%); and
WHEREAS, eighty-eight percent (88%) of the property owners
thereafter petitioned against the improvement; and
WHEREAS, no contract has been let pursuant to said assessment
proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson hereby determines
that it is in the best interests of the City of Carson and the owners of the properties
within the proposed Assessment District No. 69-2, 223rd between Catskill and Anchor
Avenues, that said Assessment District be abandoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the .
City of Carson as follows:
1. That Resolution No. 69-89 of the City Council of the City of
Carson is hereby rescinded, thereby abandoning the Assessment District No. 69-2,
223rd between Catskill and Anchor Avenues.

California, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of said City is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 69-145, was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of
said Council, duly and regularly held on the 24th day of November, 1969, and that
the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Yamamoto, Smith, Marbut,
Clark and Junk.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
