A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON REDETERMINING PROCEEDINGS AND DIRECTING
PREPARATION OF DEBT LIMIT INVESTIGATION REPORT
(CARSON IMPROVEMENT NO. 2)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson on April 23, 1968,
adopted Resolution No. 60 instituting proceedings for the acquisition of necessary rights
of way and the construction of curb, gutter, driveways, pavement and appurtenant work
in Foxwell Avenue and other rights of way, under provisions of Division 4 and 12, Streets
and Highways Code; and
WHEREAS, the preparation of a debt limit investigation report is necessary
as a part of these proceedings; and
WHEREAS, Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code requires, in Section
2824, that the investigation report be completed and filed within one year after the date of
directing preparation of the report, and the period of one year has expired; and
WHEREAS, the present intent of the City Council is to redetermine pro-
ceedings and direct preparation of a debt limit investigation report.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
RESOLVES AND DETERMINES THAT:
1. The public interest and convenience require the proposed acquisition of
necessary rights of way and construction of curb, gutter, driveways, pavement, drainage
structures and appurtenant work in Foxwell Avenue and other rights of way within the
assessment district proposed therefor, substantially as indicated on a map attached hereto.
2. The district of lands proposed to be assessed to pay the cost of said
acquisition and improvement shall include, in general, the area within the boundary of
the district as indicated on said map.
3. The proceedings for the improvement shat l be conducted under and in
accordance with provisions of Divisions 4 and 12 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of Califomia.
4. This project shall be known as Carson Improvement No. 2, Foxwell
Avenue and other rights of way.
5. The City Engineer is hereby requested to provide all necessary resolu-
tions, reports, plans, specifications, estimates, maps, notifications, proposal forms,
contract forms, bond forms and any other acts, services or forms necessary to complete
this project in accordance with the provisions of Divisions 4 and 12 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of Califomia.
6. The City of Carson will reimburse the County of Los Angeles for all
costs incurred by the City Engineer on this project in accordance with the General
Services Agreement.
7. The aforementioned resolution, adopted by the City Council April 23,
1968, be rescinded.
