HomeMy Public PortalAbout70-036RESOLUTION NO. 70-036 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 70-010 AND SETTING NEW TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING AS TO MENDEN AVENUE ET AL BEING CARSON IMPROVEMENT NO. 4 WHEREAS, proceedings have been instituted for this improvement under the provisions of Division 12, Streets and Highways Code (Municipal Improvement Act of 1913); and WHEREAS, the Resolution of Intention for this improvement has been duly adopted and the Report on the improvement duly considered by the City Council of the City of Carson; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 70-010 was adopted by this City Council on January 19, 1970, setting the 9th day of March, 1970, at the hour of 6:30 p.m. as the time and the Council Chambers of the City Hall as the place for hearing protests in relation to the proposed improvement; and WHEREAS, it has now become desirable and necessary to change the appointed time of the aforementioned hearing to a later date in order to fully satisfy all the provisions of said Division 12. RESOLVES: NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON That the aforementioned Resolution No. 70-010 is hereby rescinded. That the 13th day of April, 1970, at the hour of 7:00 p.m., of said day is the day and the hour, and the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 21919 South Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California 90502, is the place fixed by this Council for hearing protests in relation to the proposed improvement. That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing by causing to be conspicuously posted on all open streets within the district, at not more than 300 feet apart on each street so posted, but not less than three in all, notices of the passage of the Resolution of Intention and of this resolution, all in accordance with the provisions of said Division 12. That the Clerk of this City Council is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing and of the passage of the Resolution of Intention and of this resolution by causing such notice to be published by two successive insertions in the Carson Star & Harbor Mail (formerly Wilmington Press Journal & Harbor Mail), a newspaper published and/or circulated in the City of Carson, which is hereby designated by said Council for that purpose, all in accordance with the provisions of said Division 12. That the Clerk of this City Council is hereby directed to mail notices of said hearing and the adoption of the Resolution of Intention and of the filing of the Report to all persons owning real property proposed to be assessed, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for county taxes prior thereto or as known to the Clerk, all in accordance with the provisions of said Division 12.
