A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF WORK PERFORMED
BY THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS PURSUANT TO CHAP-
TER 27 OF THE STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE; ASSESSING
THE PROPERTY OWNERS' COST OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF
IMPROVEMENTS AGAINST CERTAIN PARCELS OF PROPERTY;
PROVIDING THAT IF SAID ASSESSMENTS ARE NOT PAID WITH-
IN FIVE DAYS OF THEIR CONFIRMATION THEY ARE TO BE A
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT AGAINST SAID PARCELS OF PROPERTY
AND PROVIDING FOR COLLECTION OF SAID ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Carson has filed his
Report of Work performed under Chapter 27 of Part 3, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways
Code - Improvement Act of 1911 on the Project identified on the attached Report as Walk
and Drive Apron Improvement on 226th Street; and
WHEREAS, this Report indicates that all of the improvements constructed under
Chapter 27 by the City of Carson on said Project were completed pursuant to Chapter 27.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the aforesaid Report of Work here-
tofore filed be confirmed; and
THAT the property owners' cost of constructing the improvements at the loca-
tions described in the Report are as indicated in said Report; and
THAT such cost is hereby assessed against the parcels of property described in
said Report in the manner and amount indicated therein; and
THAT said assessments against said parcels of property in said amounts if not
paid within five days after their confirmation shall constitute a special assessment against said
parcels of property and shall be a lien on said parcels of property in accordance with Section
5890 of the Streets and Highways Code; and
THAT said assessments on said parcels of property shall be collected in accord-
once with Section 5893 of the Streets and Highways Code and are to be added to the next reg-
ular bill for taxes levied against said parcels of property.

I, MARILYN R. CORTINA, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that
the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 70-107, was duly and regularly adopted by
the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held
on the 17th day of August 1970, and that the same was so passed and adopted
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Junk, Leahy, Marbut, Spence
and Smith.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
