A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON GRANTING CONSENT AND JURISDICTION TO
THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES IN THE MATTER OF
COUNT`( LIGHTING MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 167C
PETITION NO. 124-70
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles is about to
commence proceedings under Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code for the annexation
of territory to County Lighting Maintenance District No. 1670; and
WHEREAS, the proposed annexation will have street lights installed in the City
of Carson; and
WHEREAS, all of the land included in the proposed annexation lies within the
boundary of the City of Carson,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carson
as follows:
Section 1 . That the public interest, convenience and necessity require the
maintenance of a street lighting system located within said territory as shown on the attached
map of the annexation to County Lighting Maintenance District No. 1670.
Section 2. That this City Council hereby consents to the annexation of said
territory, included within the boundaries of said annexation, and lying within the boundary of
the City of Carson.
Section 3. That this City Council hereby finds and determines that the lands
included within tTe o`undary of the proposed annexation, lying within the boundary of the City
of Carson, will be benefited by the said proposed annexation to the maintenance district, and
hereby consents to the inclusion of said lands within the proposed annexation and .to the
assessment thereof.
Section 4. That the consent of this City Council is hereby given to the
commencement of ffie proceedings for said annexation to County Lighting Maintenance District
No. 1670 by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, and to the exercise of
exclusive jurisdiction of said Board of Supervisors over all proceedings necessary thereto for the
purpose of consummating the same, all in accordance with the provisions of Division 7 of the
Streets and Highways Code.
Section 5. That the Clerk of the City Council is hereby directed to certify
and deliver two cTo pies of this resolution to the Road Commissioner of the County of Los Angeles.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution by
the City Counci of t e City of Carson and shall cause the same to be posted in three (3)
conspicuous places in the City of Carson, and it shall thereupon take effect.

I, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 70-140, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
2nd day of November, 1970, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Junk, Leahy, Marbut, Spence and
Smith.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
