A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON ORDERING THE VACATION OF CERTAIN RIGHT
OF WAY ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF FIGUEROA STREET
BETWEEN GALAVAN STREET AND 235TH STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson did on November 2, 1970,
adopt Resolution No. 70-138, entitled °A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THE DEDICATION OF EXCESS
RIGHTS ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF FIGUEROA STREET BETWEEN GALAVAN STREET AND
235TH STREET;' and
WHEREAS, said City Council did hold a public hearing thereon on Monday,
November 16, 1970, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers located at 21919
South Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California, at which time said Council did hear all
evidence offered by persons interested in said vacation, and
* WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson finds and determines that
the right of way along the west side of Figueroa Street between Galavan,Street and 235th
Street referred to in said Resolution No. 70-1381 and described in Exhibit A hereto attached
and made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council
of the City of Carson, as follows:
Section I. That the right of way herein described, situated along the
west side of Figueroa Street between Galavan Street and 235th Street within the City of
Carson, shall be, and is hereby vacated.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby finds that the reservation of
easements for pu i
s or private utilities is not necessary.
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carson shall cause a certified
copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los
Angeles.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carson
on this 16th day of November, 1970.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 70-146, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 16th day of November, 1970, and that the same was so passed and adopted by
the following vote:
