A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON COMMENDING LARRY E. TOWNSEND,
ASSEMBLYMAN FOR THE 67TH DISTRICT, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, Larry Townsend, Assemblyman for the 67th Assembly District
of the State of California, serves the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, Larry Townsend has demonstrated his ability, interest and
eagerness to solve local problems; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express appreciation for this unusual
personal representation to be recognized and reflected in the official records of the City
of Carson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf of
the citizens of Carson, hereby commends and thanks Larry Townsend for his progressive,
forthright and helpful attitude as the Assemblyman from the 67th Assembly District,State
of California, and extends its best wishes for Larry's success in the State Assembly.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1971

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 71-047, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 15th day of March, 1971 , and that the same was so passed and adopted
by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Junk, Leahy, Spence and Smith.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Marbut.
