A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CARSON AND PROGRESSIVE PAVING
COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVE-
MENTS ON KINARD AVENUE, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO.69-5
WHEREAS, the City Council, by Resolution No. 71-013, awarded a
contract to Progressive Paving Company; and
WHEREAS, the City Council directed the contract to be prepared; and
WHEREAS, the contract has been prepared, executed by the Contractor,
and approved by the City Engineer and the City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the City Council directed the Mayor to enter into the contract;
and
WHEREAS, the provisions of the 1911 Act state that the Superintendent of
Streets is to sign the contract on behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. Rescision of a Portion of Resolution No. 71-013. That the
City Council of the City of Carson hereby rescinds t at part of Resolution R0771-013,
Section 2, which directs the Mayor to enter into the contract.
Section 2.

certify that the whole number of members of the. City Council of said City is five; that the fore-
going resolution, being Resolution No. 71-048, was duly and regularly adopted by the City
Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 15th
day of March, 1971 , and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
