1.) Status Reports: Brief reports on the Passmore Lease, Safety
Marking and the 1989 Project Plans were made by Staff.
2.) Airport Hanger Standards: The Committee advised that the
following standards should be required:
a.) 120 lb. per sq. ft. snow load
b.) Uniform color of earth tones, either tan or light grey would
be preferred
c. Metal siding materials would be preferred
George Klind discussed construction 4 -10 hangers this summer
for various customers. It was suggested that he work with the
Engineers to develop plans which would be acceptable for adopting as
the standard plans for hangar construction. Preferences on
construction types (frame or steel) are to be determined by
construction and insurance costs.
3.) Traffic and Taxiway Plans: These are thought to exist and staff
is requested to locate copies for review.
4.) Commuter Airline Marketing: The Committee recommended that the
staff be directed to allocate time to call upon Horizon, Empire, and
United Express airlines to outline airport developments and to
determine their interest in developing commuter service to McCall,
and what, if any, requirements would have to be met for such a service
by McCall Airport.
