A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON REQUESTING ADDITIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT
SERVICES WITHIN THE CITY OF CARSON FROM THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT UNDER THE
LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Carson, pursuant to the
terms and provisions of t e Law Enforcement Services Agreement, dated July 1, 1971, and
entered into by and between the County of Los Angeles and the City of Carson, does hereby
request the County of Los Angeles, through the County Sheriff's Department, to provide
additional law enforcement services, said services being in addition to those heretofore
requested by the Law Enforcement Services Agreement.
Section 2. In addition to the general law enforcement services now
being provided toto t�eCity of Carson pursuant to the Law Enforcement Services Agreement,
the City Council hereby requests: Traffic Law Enforcement, License Inspection and
Enforcement, Crossing Guards, and School Safety Officer.
Section 3. It is hereby requested that the Board of Supervisors or its
designated agent or agency approve and authorize the performance of services requested
in this resolution, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Law Enforcement
Services Agreement dated July 1, 1971.
Section 4. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of
this resolution to—Te Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, to the County Sheriff's Office, and
to the Chief Administrative Officer, County of Los Angeles.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 71-099, was duly and regularly
adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and
regularly held on the 6th day of July, 1971 and that the same was so passed
and adopted by the foTrow ng vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Junk, Marbut and Leahy.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Smith and Spence.
