A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR STREET IMPROVE-
MENTS ON FIGUEROA STREET BETWEEN CARSON AND
220th STREET (CITY OF CARSON CASH CONTRACT NO.23)
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Carson did, pursuant to order of
the City Council, on the 12th day of August, 1971, publicly receive, examine and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and improvements described in Resolution
No. 71-080, which Resolution is hereby expressly referred to for a description of said work
and improvements, and for all particulars relative to the proceedings; and
WHEREAS, due notice inviting bids and setting a date for the opening of
bids has been duly posted as prescribed by law and as provided in Resolution No. 71-080;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson, on the 16th day of
August, 1971, did publicly receive, examine and declare said proposals or bids as reported
by the City Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. Acceptance and Rejection of Bids. That the City Council
of the City of Carson ere y awards the contract for doing said work and making said improve-
ments to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit:
McAMIS ENGINEERING
at the price named in the bid of said bidder on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Carson; and it does reject all other bids or proposals, effective upon execution of
the City Contract by said low bidder.
Section 2. Execution of Contract. The Director of Public Works is
hereby directed to prepare the contract and forward it to the City Attorney for approval as to
form and the Mayor is hereby directed to enter into the contract.

I, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 71-118, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of
said City at -a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 16th day of August,
1971, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Junk, Marbut, Smith and Leahy.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
