A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON REQUESTING AN ALLOCATION OF COUNTY
HIGHWAY THROUGH CITIES FUNDS FOR THE UPGRADING
OF TRAFFIC DEVICES ON AVALON BOULEVARD AT ITS
INTERSECTION WITH DEL AMO BOULEVARD
(CITY OF CARSON CASH CONTRACT NO. 16)
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles has been authorized to accumulate the
TOPICS funds allocated to the City of Carson for fiscal years 1969-70, 1970-71 and 1971-72;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 71-033 requesting an
allocation of $50,000 for improvements specified in Cash Contract No. 16; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson has received said requested funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to expand the scope of Cash Contract No.
16 to include signal modification and channelization at the intersection of Avalon Boulevard
and Del Amo Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, Avalon Boulevard is included in the City's currently approved
Select System of Streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carson resolves as follows:
Section I. The County of Los Angeles is hereby requested to allocate
$10,000 of said TOPICS funds to the City of Carson for the work specified above, and to pay
this amount to the City when claimed.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to forward a certified copy of this
resolution to the Los Angeles County Road Commissioner for processing.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of September, 1971.

certify that the whole number of members of said Council is four; that the foregoing resolution,
being Resolution No. 71-135, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of said City
at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 20th day of September,
1971, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
