PQd The Regular meeting of Council was held to -day at 4 :00 p.m. and was attended by Mayor Gambia:1 who presided, and Councilmen Bharpley,Dr.Righto Logan and Blumenthal, Town Attorney McIntyre and Mr. A.F.Solms. Logan made that the Mayor be given authority to file the appli- ti4,,r,,.. cation this was seconded by Mr. Sharpley and the motion passed; RLSOLUTION BE IT RESOLVED, BY TH T AYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF SAVAITNAH BEAOH,TY TuTAI'77, GA., in Council assembled, that the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to file with the Reconstruction ,Finance Corporation, t Washington,D.0., this prelim - inary application for loansfor self - liquidating waterworks system, with fire protection, and for extension of parking area in the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, these public utility im- provrments to be paid for, interest and liquidating costs, out of the income of the said water works and parking area. For this pur- pose the following loans are requested : 1 - For water works system and fire protection $ 65,000.00 2 - For extension of parking area 20,000.00 85,000.00 Contra is have been authorized for complete engineering operations, and plans, specifications and eetimatee will be filed with the formal acplic ation for ',:hese loans at as early a date as possible. It is intsnde:d to make these public improvementsof a self- liquidating c a eicte.r, to provide relief for unemployment, to begin work as euickly as possible, and to conform in every way to the reg- ulations established by the Reconstruction Finance 'Corporation. These public improvements will meet grave and pressing pablic needs-and are aut_ori zed by Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Georgia. It is requested that information be furnished as it is issued by the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, with the necessary forms for the official final application for suet loans.
