A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON EXPRESSING RESPECTS FOR GEORGE WILLIAMS
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of March 1972, death brought to a close the
active life of George Williams; and
WHEREAS, his efforts to serve the community in which he resided are
recognized and appreciated; and
WHEREAS, his service as President of the Stevenson Village Homeowners
Association earned the respect of his fellow citizens in that he did actively seek to increase
the level of citizen involvement within the City of Carson.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of
the City of Carson, by this resolution and public record, recognize the profound influence
of Mr. George Williams upon the City of Carson, California, recognizing further that his
death is a distinct loss to the community in which he won deep respect.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread upon the minutes
of the Council and that a copy be presented to his widow, Mrs. Betty Williams, in
recognition of Mr. George Williams respected place in this community.

I, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 72-068, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 17th day of April, 1972, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
