A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON, CALIFORNIA, ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF
NOTICE OF ANNEXATION AND APPROVING CIRCULATION
OF PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. The City Council of the City of Carson hereby acknowledges
receipt of NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE PETITION RELATING TO ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF CARSON UNDER THE ANNEXATION ACT OF 1913
together with a STATEMENT OF REASONS FOR PROPOSED PETITION, of certain territory
which is described as follows:
MW "Beginning at the angle point in the northerly boundary of the City of Long
Beach as same existed on August 1, 1971, said angle point being the intersection of the center
line of McHelen Avenue as shown on map of Tract No. 14171 filed in Book 281, pages 48, 49
and 50 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and the westerly
prolongation of the southerly line of Lot 202 of said tract; thence, generally, easterly and
northerly along the boundary of the City of Long Beach as same existed on said date to an angle
point in said boundary, said last mentioned angle point being a point in the easterly line of
Santa Fe Avenue at Warnock Way and the northwesterly corner of "Increment 215" to the City
of Long Beach; thence northerly along the easterly line of the 80 foot strip of land described
in deed to the County of Los Angeles (for Santa Fe, formerly Perris Road) recorded in Book
5667, page 186 of Official Records, in the office of said recorder to the most southerly corner
of that certain parcel of land described in deed to the County of Los Angeles (for Santa Fe
Avenue) recorded in Book 22122, page 433 of said Officia[ Records; thence northerly along
the easterly boundary of said certain parcel of land to the northeasterly corner of said certain
parcel of land; thence northerly in a direct line to the southeasterly corner of that certain
parcel of land described in deed to the County of Los Angeles (for Santa Fe Avenue) recorded
in Book D3455, page 243 of said Official Records; thence westerly, northwesterly, northerly
and westerly along the easterly boundary of said last mentioned certain parcel of land to the
easterly line of that certain 10 foot strip of land described in deed to the County of Los
Angeles (for Santa Fe Avenue) recorded in Book 34486, page 286 of said Official Records;
thence northerly along said last mentioned easterly line to the southerly line of that certain
parcel of land designated as "Site of Dominguez Neighborhood Park" described in deed recorded
in Book D109, page 622 of said Official Records; thence easterly along the southerly line of
said last mentioned certain parcel of land 752:49 feet more or less to the westerly line of the
Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad right of way, 95 feet wide, as shown on County Surveyor's
Map No. B-2642, on file in the office of the County Engineer of said county; thence northerly
along said westerly line to the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of Tract No. 26312 as
shown on map filed in Book 676, pages 18, 19 and 20 of said Maps, thence northerly along
said southerly prolongation and said last mentioned easterly line to the boundary of the City
of Carson as same existed on said date (along Dominguez Street); thence, generally, westerly
and southerly along said boundary of the City of Carson to the boundary of the City of Los
Angeles as same existed on said date (in Alameda Street); thence southeasterly along the
easterly boundary of the City of Los Angeles as same existed on said date to its intersection
with said northerly boundary of the City of Long Beach (in Wardlow Road); thence easterly
and northerly along said northerly boundary to the point of beginning."
Said Annexation may hereafter be referred to as "Annexation No. 4." Receipt is further
acknowledged as a Certificate of Publication together with an attached copy of said Notice
and Statement as published and a Certificate of Posting together with an attached copy of
said Notice and Statement as posted. Both Certificates and attached copies have been filed
with the City Clerk within ten (10) days after publication and posting of said Notice and
Statement.
Section 2. The City Council hereby consents to and approves said
Petition and the circulation of said Petition for annexation of the territory therein described

to the City of Carson, as provided by law, twenty-one (21) days after the date on which said
Notice and Statement were published and posted."
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 1972.

I, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is four;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 72-007, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on he 3rd day of January, 1972, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: Bridgers, Marbut, Smith and Leahy.
