A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON 213TH STREET, WATER TO THE
SAN DIEGO FREEWAY, ORDERING THE WORK, CALLING
FOR BIDS AND DESIGNATING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
THE OPENING OF BIDS (CITY OF CARSON CASH CONTRACT
NO. 32)
WHEREAS, the City of Carson has authorized V.T.N . to prepare the plans and
specifications for the street improvements on 213th Street, Water to the San Diego Freeway in
the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Carson that such plans and
specifications be approved and the work shown therein be done by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and specifications
filed with the City Clerk bearing the designation"Cash Contract No. 32, City of Carson,
213th Street, Water to the San Diego Freeway," and relating to the improvements as described
in this Resolution, are hereby approved.
Section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and improvements
proposed to be done, Fereinafter designated as Cash Contract No. 32, City of Carson, shall be
performed as shown in said specifications.
Section 3. Specifying Fund. It is ordered that the cost to the City of said work
and improvements —s la FFe paid as follows:
Gas Tax Funds Approximately $29,337.00
Section 4. Adoption of Wage Scale. Itis hereby determined that the general
prevailing rate orates in the locality in which such work is to be performed, for each
craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute such public work, and also the general
prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft of workman or mechanic are
in accordance with the schedule adopted by Resolution No. 71-089. A copy of Resolution No.
71-089 and the schedule of prevailing wage rates are on file in the Office of the City Clerk and
open to public inspection.
Section 5. Call for Bids. The City Council hereby fixes Tuesday, May 30, 1972
at the hour of 11:00 A . ., as the day and hour, and the City Clerk's Office of the City Hall,
Carson, as the place of opening bids; and said time and place shall be shown in the Notice. All
bids shall be delivered to, opened, examined and declared by the City Clerk at the City Hall,
21919 South Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California, and shall be publicly opened.
The City Administrator sholI report the results of such bidding to the City Council at its next
regular meeting after the opening of bids.
No proposal or bid shall be considered by the City Administrator or by the City Council unless
accompanied by a check or bid bond as required by law and satisfactory to the City Council

that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 72-082, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the lst day of May 1972, and that the some was so passed and adopted by the
