HomeMy Public PortalAbout72-153RESOLUTION NO. 72-153 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THE DEDICATION OF ACCESS RIGHTS, STREETS AND ALLEYS, CARSON SHERIFF"S STATION SITE WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson desires to vacate the dedication of access rights, streets and alleys- Carson Sheriff's Station site, as shown on map (Exhibit A); and WHEREAS, a map showing said proposed vacation is on file in the office of the City Clerk designated as "PROPOSED ABANDONMENT OF DEDICATION OF ACCESS RIGHTS, STREETS AND ALLEYS - CARSON SHERFF'S STATION SITE," which said map is hereby referred to for details and particulars as to the proposed vacation; and WHEREAS, the City Council, desiring to proceed with said vacation under the Street Vacation Act of 19411 and to initiate proceedings therefor, does hereby determine to set a hearing on said intent to vacate the dedication of access rights, streets and alleys - Carson Sheriff's Station site. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby finds that the public convenience and necessity requires no reservation of any easement or right of way for public utilities within the above-described property. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be held on Monday, October 2, 19721 at the hour of 7:30 P.M. at the Council Chambers located at 21919 South Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California, and that at such time and place any and all persons interested in said proposed vacation may appear and be heard. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall have posted this Resolution of Intention to Vacate in three (3) public 'places, and along the line of the street to be vacated in the manner and in the form required by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code (Street Vacation Act of 1941). Such notices shall be posted on or before September 20, 1972.
