A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON REQUESTING THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY
ENGINEER TO PREPARE PRECINCT MAPS FOR THE SCOTTS-
DALE CONDOMINIUM IN THE CITY OF CARSON
WHEREAS, the Scottsdale Condominium is a privately owned development
located at 23400 Avalon Boulevard in the City of Carson and described as the whole of
Tract No. 28042 recorded in Book 716, Pages 17 to 25 of the Official Records of Los Angeles
County; and
WHEREAS, the streets within the Scottsdale Condominium are undedicated and
therefore, at present, do not appear on the official precinct maps of the Los Angeles County
Registrar of Voters, as a consequence of which voter information materials from the Registrar
of Voters cannot be sent to the individual addresses of voters residing in the Scottsdale Condo-
minium;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Carson requests the Los Angeles
County Engineer as o ows:
a. To prepare official precinct maps of the Scottsdale Condominium for
the use of the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters in fulfilling his duties
to provide the residents of the Scottsdale Condominium with the necessary
sample ballots, and other voter information and materials in order to allow
such residents to exenise their constitutionally guaranteed franchise rights
in an informed and judicious manner.
b. To complete the preparation of the above mentioned official precinct
maps in time for the mailing of voter information for the November 1972,
general elections;
c. To furnish one copy of the above mentioned official precinct maps to
the City Clerk of the City of Carson.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Carson is hereby directed to file
certified copies o tis resolution with the Los Angeles County Engineer, the Los Angeles
County Registrar of Voters, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kenneth Hahn.

1, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 72-155, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 5th day of September 1972, and that the same was so passed and adopted by
the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Colas, Smith, Yamamoto and Marbut.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
