A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON ELECTING TO CEASE TO BE SUBJECT TO THE
MEYERS-GEDDES STATE EMPLOYEES' MEDICAL AND
HOSPITAL CARE ACT
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 22853 provides that a local agency
which has elected to be subject to the Meyers -Geddes State Employees' Medical and Hospital
Care Act may cease to be so subject by proper application by the local agency; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carson, hereinafter referred to as Public Agency is
a local agency which has elected to be subject to the provisions of the Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carson as follows:
Section 1. Thatthe Public Agency does hereby elect to cease to be
subject to the provisions of the Act.
Section 2. That coverage of the Act cease on March 31, 1973.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of November, 1972.

hereby certify that the whole number:of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 72-209, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 20th day of November, 1972, and that the same was so passed and adopted by
the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Calas, Smith, Yamamoto & Marbut.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
