A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) TO
SOLICIT BIDS FOR AUDITING, REPORTING, MONITORING AND ANALYSIS OF
PROPERTY TAX, SALES /USE TAX ANALYSIS SERVICES AND UTILITY USERS
TAX (SPECIFIC TO AB 1717 AND REVENUE FORECASTING)
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood desires to obtain the services of a qualified
consulting firm to conduct ongoing audit, reporting, monitoring and analysis services of
the City's property tax, sales /use tax and utility users tax (specific to AB 1717 and
revenue forecasting); and
WHEREAS, the City currently contracts with MuniServices, LLC for property tax
and sales /use tax services and the contract will expire on October 5, 2015; and
WHEREAS, it is a common practice by cities to solicit proposals for certain
services; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to issue a RFP for property tax, sales /use tax and
utility users tax services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council authorizes staff to issue a RFP for property tax,
sales /use tax and utility users tax services.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
