A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THE
SLOPE EASEMENT ON THE NORTH SIDE OF CARSON STREET
WEST OFAVALON BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson desires to vacate the slope
easement on the north side of Carson Street west of Avalon Boulevard as shown on the attached
map; and
WHEREAS, a map showing said proposed vacation is on file in the office of the
City Clerk designated as "Proposed Abandonment of the Slope Easement on the North Side of
Carson Street West of Avalon Boulevard", which said map is hereby referred to for details and
particulars as to the proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, desiring to proceed with said vacation under the
Street Vacation Act of 1941, and to initiate proceedings therefor, does hereby determine to
seta hearing on said intent to vacate the slope:- easement on the north side of Carson Street
west of Avalon Boulevard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Carson
does hereby declare its intention to vacate and abandon the slope easement on the north side of
Carson Street west of Avalon Boulevard as shown on map.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby finds that the public
convenience and necessity requires no reservation of any easement or right of way for public
utilities within the above-described property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be held on Monday,
March 5, 1973, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. at the Council Chambers located at 21919 South
Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California, and that at such time and place any and all persons
interested in said proposed vacation may appear and be heard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall have posted this Resolution
of Intention to Vacate in three (3) public places and along the line of the street to be vacated
in the manner and in the form required by Section 8322 of the Streets and Highways Code
(Street Vacation Act of 1941). Such notices shall be posted on or before February 20, 1973.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 1973.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 73-026, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 5th day of February, 1973, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Colas, Smith, Yamamoto & Marbut.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
