A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY
AND DIRECTING THE FILING OF AN ACTION IN EMINENT
DOMAIN
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER
AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. That the public interest and necessity require the acquisition
by the City ofarses on oFthe hereinafter described real property, in fee, for the purpose of
widening streets as a needed public improvement.
Section 2. That the use to which said property is to be applied is•a public
use authorized by—Taw, the taking of such property is necessary to such use, and said property
and such improvements are so located as to be compatible with the greatest public good and
the least private detriment.
Section 3. That pursuant to the authority of the City of Carson to acquire
property by eminent-aomain, Richards, Watson & Dreyfuss, attorneys, and Glenn R. Watson,
City Attorney, are hereby authorized and directed in the name of the City of Carson to institute
eminent domain proceedings in the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the
County of Los Angeles for the acquisition in fee of that certain property situated within the
territorial limits of said City of Carson and described as follows:
Parcel 22-14:
The westerly 10 feet of the easterly 25 feet of Lot 49, Tract No. 3848,
as shown on map filed in Book 42, pages 68 and 69, of Maps, in the office of
the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
Part B:
That portion of above mentioned Lot 49, within the following described
boundaries:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly I ine of the easterly 25 feet
of said lot with the southerly line of said lot; thence westerly along said southerly
line 17:00 feet; thence northeasterly in a direct line 24.05 feet to a point in
said westerly line distant northerly thereon 17.00 feet from the point of beginning;
thence southerly along said westerly line 17.00 feet to said point of beginning.
Parcel 8 -15: -
The southerly 5 feet of above mentioned Lot 49, excepting therefrom
the easterly 246.04 feet of said lot.

1, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 73-035, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 5th day of February, 1973, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Calas, Smith, Yamamoto & Marbut.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
