A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THECITY OF CARSON
ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF NOTICE OF ANNEXATION AND
APPROVING CIRCULATIONOF PETITION FOR ANNEXATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFCA60N DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Carson hereby acknowledges
receipt of NOTICEOF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE PETITION RELATING TO ANNEXATION
OF CERTAM TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF CARSON UNDER THE ANNEXATION ACT OF
1913 together with A STATEMENT OF REASONS FOR PROPOSED PETITION, of certain
territory which is described as follows:
"Beginning at the intersection of the boundary of the City of Los Angeles
as same existed on October 6, 1972, (along the southeasterly line of One
Hundred Ninetieth Street), and a line parallel and concentric with and
70 feet easterly, measured at right angles or radially from the center line
of the Harbor Freeway as said centerline is shown on Map Nos. F-1911 and
F-1345 on file in the office of the State of California Division of Highways,
said intersection being an angle point in the boundary of the City of Carson
as some existed on said date; thence southerly along said last mentioned
boundary to said boundary of the City of Los Angeles (along the southerly
line of Lomita Boulevard); thence westerly along said last mentioned
boundary and following the same in all its various courses to the point
of beginning."
Said Annexation may hereafter be referred to as "Annexation No. 5. " Receipt is further
acknowledged of a Certificate of Publication together with an attached copy of said Notice
and Statement as published and a Certificate of Posting together with an attached copy of
said Notice and Statement as posted. Both Certificates and attached copies have been filed
with the City Clerk within ten (10) days after publication and posting of said Notice and
Statement.
Section 2. The City Council hereby consents to and approves said Petition
and the circulation of said Petition for annexation of the territory herein described to the City
of Carson, as provided by law, twenty-one (21) days after the date on which said Notice
and Statement were published and posted.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of March, 1973.

I, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the fore-
going resolution, being Resolution No. 73-060, was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council
of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 19th day of
March, 1972, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Calas, Smith, Yamamoto and Marbut.
NOES: COUNCI LMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
