MEETING MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING — FEBRUARY 9, 2009
AT: VILLAGE HALL
PRESENT: J.WALDORF, P.FAY, B.LAMB, W.MANNING, L.VAUPEL, AND J.DEMENT.
BOARD ABSENT: J.RACICH. OTHERS PRESENT: D.BENNETT, INTERIM
ADMINISTRATOR; J.HARVEY, ATTORNEY; M.GIBAS, VILLAGE CLERK; A.PERSONS,
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR; T.PLECKHAM, MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR;
K.GRECO, ACTING CHIEF OF POLICE; M.GARRIGAN, VILLAGE PLANNER; AND
S.JAVORONOK, PLANNER.
Mayor Waldorf called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken, Trustee Racich was
absent, all other Trustees were present. Mayor Waldorf led the pledge to the flag. There were
approximately 20 persons in the audience.
BUSINESS MEETING
#1 APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Trustee Fay moved to approve the Agenda. Seconded by Trustee Dement. Vote by roll call.
Fay, yes; Lamb, yes; Manning, yes; Racich, absent; Vaupel, yes; Dement, yes. 5 yes, 0 no, 1 absent.
Motion carried.
#2 WELL HOUSE #5 REHABILITATION
Trustee Dement moved to authorize Layne Western, the contractor providing the lowest bid, to
complete the Well #5 Rehabilitation work as required under Alternate A at a total bid amount of
$94,525.50. Vote by roll call. Fay, yes; Lamb, yes; Manning, yes; Racich, absent; Vaupel, yes;
Dement, yes. 5 yes, 0 no, 1 absent. Motion carried.
#3 PLAINFIELD LIBRARY RESOLUTION
Trustee Dement moved to adopt Resolution No. 1581, supporting the Plainfield Library's
Referendum. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Vote by roll call. Fay, no; Lamb, yes; Manning, yes;
Racich, absent; Vaupel, yes; Dement, yes. 4 yes, 1 no, 1 absent. Motion carried.
Trustee Fay moved to adjourn. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0 opposed.
Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
