A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SEPULVEDA-FIGUEROA PARK
LOCATED ON SEPULVEDA AND FIGUEROA STREETS, ORDER
THE WORK, CALLING FOR BIDS, AND DESIGNATING A
TIME AND PLACE FOR THE OPENING OF BIDS
(CITY OF CARSON CASH CONTRACT NO. 95)
WHEREAS, the City of Carson has prepared plans and specifications for the
development of Sepulveda -Figueroa Street Park in the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Carson that such plans and
specifications be approved and the work shown therein be done by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and specifications
filed with the City er and bearing the esignation "Cash Cantract No. 95 - City of Carson",
and relating to the improvements as described in this Resolution, are hereby approved.
Section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and improvements
proposed to be done— , here ter designated as Cash Contract No. 95 - City of Carson, shall be
performed as shown in said specifications.
Section 3. Specifying Fund. It is ordered that the cost to the City of said
work and improvements -s all be paid as o ows:
GENERAL FUNDS $195,831
Section 4. Adoption of Wage Scale. It is hereby determined that the general
prevailing rate o�y rates in the oca ity inw is such work is to beIperformed for each
craft or type or workman or mechanic needed to execute such public work, and also the general
prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft or workman or mechanic are
in accordance with the schedule adopted by Resolution No. 73-104. A copy of Resolution No.
73-104 and the schedule of prevailing wage rates are on file in the City Clerk's Office and
open to public inspection.
Section 5. Call for Bids. The City Clerk is hereby ordered to post a
Notice Inviting Seard Bids for said project in at least three (3) public places in the City of
Carson os designated by the Carson Municipal Code. Said Notice shall distinctly state the
project to be done and refer to the specifications on file.
Section 6. Receipt and Opening of Bids. The Ci ty Council hereby fixes
Thursday, August tai, 1 3, at the hour of ten o'clock :00), A .M. as the day and hour, and
the City Clerk's Office of the City Hall, Carson, as the place of opening bids; and said time
and place shall be shown in the Notice. All bids shall be delivered to, opened, examined
and declared by the City Clerk at the City Hall, 21919 South Avalon Boulevard, Carson,
Califomio, and shall be publicly opened.
The City Administrator shall report the results of such bidding to the City
Council at its next regular meeting after the opening of bids.
No proposal or bid shall be considered by the City Administrator or by the
City Council unless accompanied by a check or bid bond as required by law and satisfactory
to the City Council.

I, Marilyn R. Cortina, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of Carson,
is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 73-129, was duly and regularly
adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and
regularly held on the 2nd day of July, 1973, and that the same was so passed and adopted
by the following vote:
