A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 73-077 AND
ORDERING THE VACATION OF PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY
ON AVALON BOULEVARD NORTH OF DOMINGUEZ
CHANNEL - PARCEL MAP NO. 3450 AND PARCEL MAP
NO. 2538.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Corson did, on March 12, 1973,
adopt Resolution No. 73-048, entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Carson declaring its intention to vacate a public right of way on Avalon Boulevard north
of the Dominguez Channel;" and
WHEREAS, notices of street vacation were duly posted in the manner and
form and at the time required by Streets and Highways Code Section 8322; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing pursuant to said
Resolution and Notice on Monday, April 23, 1973, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the City
Council Chambers located at 21919 South Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California, at
which time said City Council heard all evidence offered by persons interested in the
proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at its meeting of May 21, 1973, adopted
Resolution No. 73-077 ordering the vacation of right of way on Avalon Boulevard north
of the Dominguez Channel, but inaccurately referring to such right of way as being a
portion of Parcel Map Nos. 2540 and 2538, instead of Parcel Map Nos. 3450 and 2538;
and
WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that the right of way
that is a portion of Parcel Map No. 2538 and Parcel Map No. 3450 on Avalon Boulevard
north of Dominguez Channel, shown and described on Exhibit "A" hereto attached and
made a part hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That Resolution No. 73-077 is hereby rescinded.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Carson does hereby order
the vacation an a�annconment of the right of way on Avalon Boulevard north of the
Dominguez Channel within the City of Carson, described as follows:
PARCEL A of PARCEL MAP 2538 That portion of Parcel Map
No. 2538, in the City of Cars -on, County of Los Angeles, State
of California,, filed in Book 38, Page 5 of Parcel Maps, Records
of Los Angeles County.
Beginning at the most southerly comer of said Parcel Map No.
2538, said point being on the westerly line of Avalon Boulevard,
as shown on said Parcel Map; thence along said westerly line
North 90 10' 44" East 166.55 feet to a point on a curve, concave
westerly and having a radius of 1450.00 feet, a radial line to
said point bears North 890 00' 00" East; thence along the
southerly arc prolongation of said aforementioned curve having
a radius of 1450.00geet, an arc length of 186.49 feet through
a central angle of 7 22' 09" to the southeasterlj prolongation
of the southwesterly line of said Parcel Map 2538, a radial
line to said point bears South 830 37' 51" East; thence along
said southeasterly prolongation North 390 17' 16" West
28.16 feet to the point of beginning.

PARCEL B of PARCEL MAP 3450 - That portion of Parcel Map
No. 3450, in the City o arson, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, filed in Book 38, Page 6 of Parcel Maps,
Records of Los Angeles County.
Beginning at the most westerly southwest comer of said Parcel
Map No. 3450, said point being on the easterly line of Avalon
Boulevard as shown on said Parcel Map; thence along said
easterly line North Ida 01' 43" East 73.04 feet, thence North
00 35' 25" East 161.58 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave southeasterly and having a radius of 27.00 feet; a
radial line to said point bears South 89 24' 35" East; thence
southerly along a curve westerly having a radius of 1,562.00
feet, an arc distance of 231.10 feet through a central angle
of a 28' 37" to the northwesterly prolongation of that certain
course shown on said parcel map as having a bearing of North
550 52' 18" West and a length of 67.38 feet; a radial line to
said point bears South 800 55' 58" East; thence along said
northwesterly prolongation South 550 52' 18" East 6.10 feet
to the point of beginning.
Section 3. That the public convenience and necessity does not require
the reservation osements and rights of way for sanitary sewers, storm drains, appurte-
nance structures, pipes, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other structures enumerated
in Streets and Highways Code Section 8300.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1973.

hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of Carson,
is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 73-131, was duly and regularly
adopted by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and
regularly held on the 2nd day of July, 1973, and that the some was so passed and adopted
by the following vote:
