SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
FEBURARY 22, 2010
AT: VILLAGE HALL
BOARD PRESENT: M.COLLINS, M.BONUCHI, PYAY, L.KACHEL. B.LAMB. BOARD
ABSENT: G.PECK AND J.RACICH. OTHERS PRESENT: B.MURPHY, VILLAGE
ADMINISTRATOR; M.GIBAS, VILAGE CLERK; AYERSONS, PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR; M.GARRIGAN, PLANNING SUPERVISOR; J.BABER, BUILDING
SUPERVISOR; T.PLECKHAM, MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR; AND
W.DOSTER, CHIEF OF POLICE.
Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken, Trustee Peck and
Trustee Racich were absent. All other Trustees were present. There were approximately 5
persons in the audience.
PRESIDENTIAL COMMENTS
Mayor Collins stated that Trustee Peck gave some suggestions for increasing revenues including
extra fines for DUI's, fees for fingerprinting anyone arrested, and selling stickers for support of
the Police Department.
TRUSTEES COMMENTS
Trustee Fay asked to have a future workshop discussion regarding commercial parcels
demolishing businesses and establishing a timeline on when the business will be replaced.
Trustee Kachel:
Suggested enforcing seeding on vacant lots.
Complimented the new daycare facility.
Suggested establishing a wish list for the Board.
Trustee Lamb complemented PEMA's severe weather seminar.
BUSINESS MEETING
Trustee Fay moved to approve the Agenda. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Vote by roll call.
Bonuchi, yes; Fay, yes; Kachel, yes; Lamb, yes; Peck, absent; Racich, absent. 4 yes, 0 no,
2 absent. Motion carried.
#1 PURCHASE OF 2010/2011 SQUAD CARS
Trustee Lamb moved to authorize the purchase of five (5) Chevy Impalas and equipment for the
total purchase price of $115,126.85. Seconded by Trustee Bonuchi. Vote by roll call. Bonuchi,
yes; Fay, yes; Kachel, yes; Lamb, yes; Peck, absent; Racich, absent. 4 yes, 0 no, 2 absent.
Motion carried.
Trustee Fay moved to adjourn the Special Meeting. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Voice Vote.
All in favor, 0 opposed. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
