HomeMy Public PortalAbout73-145RESOLUTION NO. 73-145 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DESIGNATING SURVEY AREA NO. 2 PURSUANT TO THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT LAW WHEREAS, there exists within the City of Carson, and within the hereinafter described Survey Area, blighted areas which constitute social and economic liabilities to the City of Carson and its citizens, and such blighted areas are characterized by the conditions set forth in the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the. City of Carson as follows: Section 1. It is hereby found and determined that the area herein designated Survey Area No. 2 requires study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible. Section 2. The boundaries of Survey Area No. 2 are as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the Dominguez Channel and Wilmington Avenue, in the vicinity of 223rd Street, then along said Dominguez Channel to its intersection with 220th Street, then west along 220th Street to the Harbor Freeway, then south along the Harb-;r Freeway to 228th Street, then east along 228th Street to its inter- section with Dolores Street, then south along Dolores Street to the point where the continuation of Dolores Street would intersect the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway, then east along such railroad to the common boundary between the City of Carson and the City of Los Angeles, and then along such common boundary to Wilmington Avenue, and then along Wilmington Avenue in a northeasterly direction to the beginning.
