HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-13-2012 Special MeetingVILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES FEBRUARY 13, 2012 AT: VILLAGE HALL BOARD PRESENT: M.COLLINS, P.FAY, B.LAMB, G.PECK, DRIPPY, AND M.BONUCHI. BOARD ABSENT: J.RACICH. OTHERS PRESENT: B.MURPHY, ADMINISTRATOR; M.GIBAS, VILLAGE CLERK; S.AMANN, ENGINEER; A.PERSONS, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR; M.GARRIGAN, PLANNING SUPERVISOR; AND J.KONOPEK, CHIEF OF POLICE. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL /PLEDGE Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken, Trustee Racich was absent, all other Trustees were present. Mayor Collins led the pledge to the flag. There were approximately 3 persons in the audience. BUSINESS MEETING 1) APPROVAL OF AGENDA Trustee Fay moved to approve the Agenda. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Vote by roll call. Fay, yes, Lamb, yes; Peck, yes; Racich, absent; Rippy, yes; Bonuchi, yes. 5 yes, 0 no, 1 absent. Motion carried. 2) SPRINGS AT 127TH STREET (PC CASE #1576- 011712.FP) Trustee Fay moved to approve the Final Plat of Springs at 127th Subdivision, subject to the stipulations noted in the staff report. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Trustee Fay inquired about runoff and storm water management. Mr. Steve Amann, Engineer, stated that the detention pond design complies with the Village's requirements and will reduce peak rates of runoff from the site up to and beyond the 100 -year event. Trustee Lamb complimented the applicants on the reports that were provided to the Village. Mr. Garrigan pointed out that demolition will be reviewed by the Historic Preservation Commission. Vote by roll call. Fay, yes, Lamb, yes; Peck, no; Racich, absent; Rippy, yes; Bonuchi, yes. 4 yes, 1 no, 1 absent. Motion carried. Trustee Fay moved to adjourn the Special Meeting. Seconded by Trustee Peck. Voice Vote. All in favor, 0 opposed. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:06 p.m. Michelle Gibas, Village Clerk
