A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON ESTABLISHING MINIMUM FEES FOR THE PREPARATION
OF NEGATIVE DECLARATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
REPORTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Environmental Quality Act of 1970 (Public
Resources Code Section 21000 et seq.) the City of Carson is required to prepare, or cause
to be prepared by contract, Environmental Impact Reports for any project it intends to
carry out or approve; and
WHEREAS, Public Resources Code Section 21089 empowers a public
agency to "charge and collect reasonable fee from any person proposing a project subject
to the provisions of this division in order to recover the estimated costs incurred by the
public agency in preparing an invironmental impact report for such subject."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carson, that departments of the City involved in the preparation of negative declarations
or Environmental Impact Reports shall charge and collect a reasonable fee from any person
proposing a project subject to the provisions of the Environmental Quality Act of 1970
in order to recover the estimated costs incurred by such department in preparing such
reports. The minimum fees required to recover costs of preparation are determined to be
$25.00 for negative declarations and $100.00 for Environmental Impact Reports.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 1973.

I, Morris B. Vance, City Clerk of the City of Carson, do hereby certify
that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City of Carson is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 73-190, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 15th day
of October, 1973, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Marbut, Smith and Calas.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Yamamoto.
