HomeMy Public PortalAbout73-211RESOLUTION NO. 73-211 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HONORING REVEREND M. LAUREL GRAY WHEREAS, Reverend M. Laurel Gray has faithfully served as Pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Covenant in Carson; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson wishes to express its appreciation for the outstanding contributions made by Reverend Gray during his residency in Carson; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Reverend Gray did exhibit and was a good example of a truly Christian -like spirit in that he freely gave of himself for the better= ment of his fellow human beings; and WHEREAS, he exhibited an attitude of charity in the founding of many community service organizations to help the needy, included among these organizations were Carson FISH and the Christmas CARE program; and WHEREAS, Reverend Gray did also serve his fellow church leaders as a president of the Carson Ministerial Association. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carson that Reverend M. Laurel Gray has left a lasting impact on this community and his efforts on behalf of the needy will long be remembered. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby wish him continued success in the service of his fellow man.
