A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SPORTS LIGHTING AT SCOTT,
CARSON, STEVENSON AND DOMINGUEZ PARKS, ORDERING
THE WORK, CALLING FOR BIDS, AND DESIGNATING A TIME
AND PLACE FOR THE OPENING OF BIDS (CITY OF CARSON,
CASH CONTRACT NO. 121)
WHEREAS, the City of Carson has prepared plans and specifications for the
installation of sports lighting at Scott, Carson, Stevenson and Dominguez Parks; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Carson that such plans
and specifications be approved and the work shown therein be done by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED:
Section 1. Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and specifica-
tions filed with the City Clerk and bearing the designation " as Contract No. 121 - City
of Carson, "and relating to the improvements as described in this Resolution, are hereby
approved.
Section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and improve-
ments proposed fo be done, hereinafter designated as Cash Contract No. 121 - City of
Carson, shall be performed as shown in said specifications.
Section 3. Specifying Fund. It is ordered that the cost to the City of said
work and improvements s all be paid as folTows:
GENERAL FUNDS $137,000
Section 4. Adoption of Wage Scale. It is hereby determined that the
general prevailing F'rate of hourly rates in t e oca ity in which such work is to be performed
for each craft or type or workman or mechanic needed to execute such public work, and
also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft or workman
or mechanic are in accordance with the schedule adopted by Resolution No. 73-104. A copy
of Resolution No. 73-104 and the schedule of prevailing wage rates are on file in the City
Clerk's Office and open to public inspection.
Section 5. Call,., -for Bids. The City. Clerk is hereby ordered to post a
Notice Inviting Sealed ds for sar protect in at least three (3) public places in the City
of Carson as designated by the Carson Municipal Code. Said Notice shall distinctly state
the project to be done and refer to the specifications on file.
Section 6. Receipt and Opening of Bids. The City Council hereby fixes
Thursday, January -1, �I74, at the hour of ten o'clock 0:00) A.M, as the day and hour,
and the City Clerk's Office of the City Hall, Carson, as the place of opening bids; and
said time and place shall be shown in the Notice. All bids shall be delivered to, opened,
examined and declared by the City Clerk at the City Hall, 21919 South Avalon Boulevard
Carson, California, and shall be publicly opened. ,
The City Administrator shall report the results of such bidding to the City
Council at its next regular meeting offer the opening of bids.
No proposal or bid shall be considered by the City Administrator or by the
City Council unless accompanied by a check or bid bond as required by low and satisfactory
to the City Council.

I, Morris B. Vance, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 73-226, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on
the 17th day of December, 1973, and that the some was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
