A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON ORDERING THE VACATION OF RIGHT OF WAY
AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF AVALON BOULEVARD AND
SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD, 23813 SOUTH AVALON BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson did on January 7, 1974,
adopt Resolution No. 74-003 entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of
Carson Declaring Its Intention to Vacate a Public Right of Way on the Northwest Corner
of Avalon Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard, 23813 South Avalon Boulevard;" and
WHEREAS, notices of street vacation were duly posted in the manner and
form and at the time required by Streets and Highways Code Section 8322; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did hold a public hearing pursuant to said
Resolution and Notice on Monday, February 4, 1974, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the
City Council Chambers located at 21919 South Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California,
at which time said City Council heard all evidence offered by persons interested in the
proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that the northwest
comer of Avalon Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard, 23813 South Avalon Boulevard,
shown and described on Exhibit A hereto atpbched and made a part thereof, is unnecessary
for present or prospective street purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Carson does hereby order the vacation and abandonment of the northwest comer of Avalon
Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard, 23813 South Avalon Boulevard within the City of
Carson, described as follows:
That portion of Avalon Boulevard, as shown on map of Tract No.
11468 filed in Book 254, pages 1 to 4, inclusive, of Maps, in
the Office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, within
a strip of land, 14.50 feet wide, the westerly line of which is
described as follows:
Beginning at the northeasterly comer of Lot 230, said Tract No.
11468; thence southerl along the easterly line of said lot to a
line that is parallel with and 150 feet northerly, measured along
the southerly prolongation of said easterly line and along said
easterly line, from the easterly prolongation of the southerly
line of said lot.
BE IT FURTHER'RESOLVED that the public convenience and necessity does
not require the reservation of easements and rights of way for sanitary sewers, stoarm drains,
apputtenant structures, pipes, conduits, cables, wires, poles and other structures, enumerated
in Streets and Highways Code Section 8300.

I, Morris B. Vance, City Clerk of the City of Carson, Califomia, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 74-027, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
19th day of February, 1974, and that the some was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Calos, Marbut, Smith and Yamamoto
