Savannah Beach., Tybee Island, Ga.
November 4th, 1932.
The regular meeting of Council was held to -day at 4:90 p.m. and
was attended by Mayor Gamble.., who presided, and Councilmen Logan,
Demere, Blumenthal ,Cann and'Sharpley and Town Attorney scintyre.
Mr. H.Horovitz, formerly Recorder, petitioned that he be paid
for the period from May 1st to May 9th,1932, for services ren-
dered the Town as Recorder - Mr Logan moved that . he be paid,
this was seconded by Mr. Blumenthal and the motion passed unan-
amously.
The matter of raising new revenues for the approaching fiscal
year was discussed and Council was of the opinion that new re-
venues could be derived from the following sources;

Placing a liscensex on all merchandising/machines in
operation,onf.25.00 per machine, this would brim in appro-
ximately 2500.00 per year.
Cutout all street lights over 50, this would make a
saving of about $ 1200.00 per year.
Draw up new ordinance, at proper time, to'liscense any
buainessw,whether done by motor vehicle, horse drawn or in a
specific location.
Dispose of some of the live stock and get some new
animals,
Messrs.
Logan,Demere and Blumenthal were appointed a committee call on
tEe Savannah 4lectric Company to see if the street lights could
not be discontinued at this time.
There being no further business Council adjourned subjectto the
call of the Mayor.
