A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE MAIN STREET
MEDIAN DIVIDER LANDSCAPE BEAUTIFICATION (PHASE 11)
(CITY OF CARSON, CASH CONTRACT NO. 82)
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Carson, did, pursuant to order of
the City Council, on the 10th day of January, 1974, publicly receive, examine and declare
all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and improvements described in Resolution No.
73-290, which Resolution is hereby expressly referred to for a description of said work and
improvements, and for all particulars relative to the proceedings; and
WHEREAS, due notice inviting bids and setting a date for the opening of
bids has been duly posted as prescribed by law and as provided in Resolution No. 73-269;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carson did, on the 19th day of
February, 1974, publicly receive, examine and declare said proposals or bids as reported
by the City Administrator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section I. Acceptance and Rejection of Bids. That the City Council of the
City of Carson hereby awards the contract for doing said work and making said improvements
to the lowdst responsible bidder, to wit:
LESTER LANDSCAPING & IRRIGATION CO. $59,287.00
at the price named in the bid of said bidder on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said
City, and it does reject all other bids or proposals, effective upon execution of the City
Cpntract by said low bidder.
Section 2. Execution of Contract. The Director of Parks and Recreation
is hereby directed to prepare the contract and forward it to the City Attorney for approval
as to form, and the Mayor is hereby directed to enter into the contract.

I, Morris B. Vance, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of mid City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 74-036, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on
the 19th day of February, 1974, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
