A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON APPROVING, ADOPTING AND CERTIFYING TO
THE COMPLETION OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
RELATING TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR PROJECT
AREA NO. 2
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The Carson Redevelopment Agency, in connection with the
Planning Commission a the City of Carson and the Project Area Committee for Redevelopment
Project No. 2 has prepared a Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 2 in accordance with
the Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California. Said plan for said project area,
including the redevelopment proposed therein, is hereinafter referred to as "said project."
Section 2. An Environmental Impact Report has been prepared with respect
to said project pursuant to the Environmental Quality Act of 1970 and the Guidelines adopted
by the Secretary of the Resources Agency thereunder and the local guidelines duly adopted
pursuant thereto. Prior to completion of such Environmental Impact Report consultations were
had with and comments obtained from various persons with special expertise with respect
to any environmental impact involved and with public agencies and departments having
jurisdiction with respect to the project, and the applicable comments have been reviewed
and where appropriate incorporated in the report.
Section 3. A public hearing was duly held on said project and Environmental
Impact Report and comments from the public with respect to said Environmental Impact Report
were received, and said Report and comments duly considered, on February 11, 1974.
Section 4. This City Council hereby certifies the due completion of such
Environmental Impact Report and the same is hereby approved and adopted.
Section 5. Redevelopment Project No. 2 will not have a significatrte effect
on the environment Fut will have a beneficial effect on the environment.
Section 6. The City Clerk is hereby directed, upon adoption by this City
Council of an ordinance adopting the Redevelopment Plan for Project Area No. 2 as the
official redevelopment plan for the project area, to file a Notice of Determination with
respect to said project with the County Clerk of Los Angeles County.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 11th day 9f February, 1974.

I, Morris B. Vance, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 74-039, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular mebting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
I Ith day of February, 1974, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following
vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Marbut, Smith and Yamamoto.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSTAIN: COUNCILMEN: Callas.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None.
