A RESOLUTIONOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY NECESSARY
FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES AND AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION
THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER
AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the public interest and necessity require the acquisition by
the City of Carson of real property, in fee, for purposes of improving 213th Street and protect-
ing certain property, hereinafter described, fronting on 213th Street from the threat of overflow
or incursion of water.
Section 2. That the use to which said property is to be applied is a public
use authorized bylaw, die taking of such property is necessary to such use, and said property
and such improvements are so located as to be compatible with the greatest public good and
the least private detriment.
Section 3. That pursuant to the authority of the City of Carson to acquire
property by eminent domain, Richards, Watson, Dreyfuss and Gershon, attorneys and Glenn
R. Watson, City Attorney, are hereby authorized and directed in the name of the City of
Carson to institute eminent domain proceedings in the Superior Court of the State of California
in and for the County of Los Angeles for the acquisition in fee of that certain property situated
within the territorial limits of said City of Carson and described as follows:
The Westerly 100 feet of the Northerly 150 feet of Lot 8 of
tract 4054, as per map recorded in book 44, pages 39, 40
and 41 of Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of
Los Angeles County, California.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 74-068, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 15th day of April, 1974, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Bridgers, Calas, Marbut, Yamamoto and Smith
