A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARSON SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF PROPOSITION
NO. 2: CLEAN WATER BOND ACT OF 1974
WHEREAS, the State of California will place on the June 4, 1974, ballot
Proposition No. 2: Clean Water Bond Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the passage of Proposition No. 2 will provide $250 million for
the continuation of the Clean Water Grant Program to local districts and cities over a four
(4) year period; and
WHEREAS, the Clean Water Bond Issue, Proposition No. 2, will match federal
and local funds to continue the sewage treatment construction program; and
WHEREAS, the goal of the sewage treatment construction program is to provide
for secondary treatment of all domestic waste water; and
WHEREAS, Without the state contribution as provided by this bond issue,
individual cities and districts will be forced to provide double the local matching funds in order
to meet the minimum state and federal water pollution standards required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Carson hereby supports the passage of Proposition No. 2: Clean Water Bond Act of 1974.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five;
that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 74-070, was duly and regularly adopted
by the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly
held on the 15th day of April, 1974, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the
following vote:
