A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARSON ORDERING THE
VACATION OF RIGHT OF WAY ON 209TH
STREET, EASTERLY OF LAMBERTON AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section I. The City Council of the City of Carson on June 3, 1974,
adopted Resolution No. 74-093 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARSON DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY
ON 209TH STREET, EASTERLY OF LAMBERTON AVENUE AND SETTING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON."
Section 2. Notices of the proposed street vacation were duly posted
in the manner and form and at the time required by Streets and Highways Code Section 8322.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Carson held a public
hearing thereon on Monday, July 1, 1974, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the City Council
Chambers located at 21919 South Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California, at which time said
City Council heard all evidence offered by persons interested in the proposed vacation and
no persons were present to protest same.
Section 4. The City Council of the City of Carson does hereby
find and determine that the public right of way on 209th Street, easterly of Lamberton Avenue,
shown and described on Exhibit A hereto attached and made a part hereof, is unnecessary
for present or prospective public street purposes and said public right of way shall be and
hereby is vacated.
Section 5. The City Council of the City of Carson heretofore
determined in Resolution No. 74-093 that the public convenience and necessity require
the reservation of easements and rights of way for utility and sanitary server purposes and
appurtenant structures, and hereby declares that these proceedings and the vacation of said
street as hereinabove provided amsubject to and governed by said reservations and
exceptions contained in said Resolution No. 74-093.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this
resolution and order to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
