AN ORDINANCE RENAMING PAVILION DRIVE AS PAVILION ROAD
WHEREAS, affected property owners submitted a request to the E911 Advisory Board to rename
Pavilion Drive as Pavilion Road; and
WHEREAS, the Hopkinsville-Christian County E911 Advisory Board on July 10, 2020 favorably
recommended renaming the publicly maintained street as Pavilion Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE
That Pavilion Drive runs west for 185 feet and turns into a private drive at the beginning of the
Sandifer Property. The publicly maintained street, as further described on Exhibit A attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, is hereby renamed Pavilion Road. Nothing herein shall be misconstrued
as public acceptance of the private drive.
SECTION TWO
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance is held unconstitutional or
otherwise invalid, such infirmities shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
SECTION THREE
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR
This ordinance shall take effect after its passage and publication according to law.
