A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR STORM DRAIN
IMPROVEMENTS AT STEVENSON PARK STORM DRAIN, ORDERING
THE WORK, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DESIGNATING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR THE OPENING OF BIDS (PROJECT NO. 200)
WHEREAS, the City has prepared plans and specifications for the construction
of storm drain improvements in the City of Carson; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Carson that such plans and
specifications be approved and the work shown therein be done by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1 . Approval of Plans and Specifications. The plans and
specifications filed with the City Clerk and bearing t e designation "Project No. 200 -
Stevenson Park Storm Drain, " and relating the improvements as described in this
Resolution are hereby approved.
Section 2. Ordering the Work. It is ordered that the work and improvements
proposed tore done, hereinafter designated as Project No. 200, City of Carson, shall
be performed as shown in said specifications.
Section 3. Specifying Fund. It is ordered that the cost to the City of Carson
of said wort an -c improvements shall i paid as follows:
General Funds - Approxirra tely $49,000
Section 4. Adoption of Wage Scale. It is hereby determined that the
general prevai ing rate of hourly, rates in the locality in which such work is to be performed,
for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute such public work; and
also the general prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work for each craft of
workman or mechanic are in accordance with the schedule adopted by Resolution No.
75-027. A copy of Resolution No. 75-027 and the schedule of prevailing wage rates is on
file in the Office of the City Clerk and open to public inspection.
Section 5. Call for Bids. The City Clerk is hereby ordered to post a
Notice Inviting ea ed Bis o'�iccT project in at least three (3) public places in the City
of Carson as designated by the Carson Municipal Code. Said Notice shall distinctly
state the project to be done and refer to the specifications on file.
Section 6. Receipt and Opening of Bids. The City Council hereby fixes
October 23, 1-9�5, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. as t e ay and hour and the City Clerk's
Office of the City Hall, Carson, as the place of opening of bids; and said time and place
shall be shown in the Notice. All bids shall be delivered to, opened, examined and
declared by the City Clerk at the City Hall, 21919 S. Avalon Boulevard, Carson, California,
and shall be publicly opened.
The City Administrator shall report the results of such bidding to the City Council at
its next regular meeting after the opening of bids. No proposal or bid shall be considered
by the City Administrator or by the City Council unless accompanied by a check or bid
bond as required by law and satisfactory to City Council.

I, Helen S. Kawagoe, City Clerk of the City of Carson, California, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of said City is five; that the
foregoing resolution, being Resolution No. 75-182, was duly and regularly adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on
the 6th . day of October 1975; and that the same was so passed and
adoptthe following vote:
