A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS
FROM REFUSE FUND RESERVES TO COVER WASTE HAULER PAYMENTS
THROUGH YEAR -END
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood entered into a new contract
with Waste Resources, Inc. (WRI) on October 7, 2013 as the new exclusive provider of
solid waste services; and
WHEREAS, additional funding is needed to cover waste hauler payments
through June 2015; and
WHEREAS, staff requests that an appropriation in the amount of $300,000 be
authorized to cover waste hauler payments through year -end.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Manager or designee is authorized to make the
following funds appropriations and transfers:

Un- appropriated Refuse Fund
$300,000
TO:
Refuse Fund #1052.45.440.62015
$300,000
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
