A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE STREET CLOSURE FOR PINE AVENUE AND WAIVING TOTAL CITY
SUPPORT COSTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $785 FOR A BLOCK WATCH CAPTAIN
LABOR DAY BLOCK PARTY
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Pine Avenue Block Watch Captain
to close portions of the street; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the closure is to celebrate Labor Day.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves the waiver of City support costs in the
amount of $785.
Section 2. The City Council further find, per V. C. 21101 (e) that the closure of
the street on September 7, 2015 during the approved event time necessary for the
safety and protection of persons in attendance at the block party and hereby approves
such street closure.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 2015.
