RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT
IN SUPPORT OF .EFFORTS OF CITIZENS COMMITTEE
FOR ANNEXATION AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO
PROVIDE INFORMATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, a committee of Citizens from San Mateo County
has approached the Midpeninsula Regional Park District with a
proposal for annexation of portions of southern San Mateo County
to the District, and
WHEREAS, in response thereto the District has caused to
be conducted a survey of public opinion to help determine the
feasibility of such annexation proposal, and the results of the
survey showed substantial citizen support in southern San Mateo
County for annexation to the District, and
WHEREAS, such an annexation appears to be feasible and
in keeping with the original purposes of the District as a bi-
county agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Park District does resolve as follows:
Section One. The Board of Directors does hereby go on
record as supporting the efforts of the Citizens Committee
to annex portions of southern San Mateo County to the
Midpeninsula Regional Park District and offers to provide
reasonable assistance to help assure the success of such
annexation.
Section Two. The District staff is authorized and in-
structed to provide reasonably necessary information and
technical assistance in support of the efforts of the
Citizens Committee, as provided in the 1975-1976 Action
Plan.

at a regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:
